The city of Hermosillo, the capital of Sonora is the southern terminus of the Route of the Rio Sonora.  A large bustling capital city, Hermosillo is also one of the larger cities in northern Mexico.

Access to the Route of the Rio Sonora is on the north east side of Hermosillo.  From Mexico Highway 15, exit on Mexico 14 toward Ures and Moctezuma.

There are numerous places for lodging, dining, obtaining fuel on Mexico 15 before the Rio Sonora exit.  For emergency services in Hermosillo, dial 066.  Enjoy your visit to the route of the Rio Sonora.

as well as horses and cattle for sale. Rancho la Chimenea raises and sells registered Quarter Horses and Paints and the 450 acre ranch is home to wildlife including Coues deer, coyote, cougar, and many varieties of smaller critters and birds.
